Lunch Program:    United Township High School currently uses a cashless system for all purchases in the cafeteria.  The cashless system has enabled the District to speed up lunch service and has eliminated the identification of any students who receive free and reduced lunch.  Students must have money in their accounts to purchase lunch and/or a la carte items.

Cash will not be accepted at the point of sale in the cafeteria.

  1. Each household will have an account in which all of your children will have access.  This account will be charged for their lunches and/or a la carte purchases by scanning their ID card.
  2. Students approved for free or reduced lunch will also use their ID – one free or reduced lunch per day allowed.
  3. Account balances may be checked at the register as students pass through the lunch line.
  4. Deposits to accounts will be accepted daily as follows:

a)    Deposit envelopes will be available at the locations listed below.

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING BOOK BAGS

Beginning August 4, 2008, students will not be allowed to carry book bags during the school day.  Book bags will need to be stored in their locker.  Thank you very much for your support as we implement this change.

DROP EVERYTHING AND READ PROGRAM

Reading will be a part of our scheduled day again this year.  Students should bring a book to read every day.  We are looking for book donations for classroom libraries.  If you have any books at home that you would like to donate to our reading program you may bring them to registration.
